I can’t sleep because I’m thinking of you. I go to play music than normally calms me; but every song reminds me of you
I cant sleep

This girl is so amazingly strong.Forever reblog. This is from the slut walk. One of the arguments is that girls ask for rape because they wear slutty clothes, short skirts, tight, low-cut tops. This girl is an example of the fact that rape victims can look like anyone, you, me, this girl. Rapists. Dont. Discriminate.
I promised a long time ago that I’d reblog this whenever I saw it on my dash. No regrets, it breaks my heart every single time.
an incredibly important message, rape is rape. no one is ever asking for it. a woman has the right to dress how ever they want - it is society that identifies risque dressing as ‘asking for it’, and in my opinion, that way of thinking needs to be diminished.
always reblog
That way of thinking shouldn’t be diminished: it should be destroyed.
always always always reblog.
very powerful.
Forever I will reblog.
this must have taken so much courage.

With all this crazy hype going on around Uganda, the LRA and their leader Joseph Kony, we’ve really only heard a few oppositions. I’ve heard that Invisible Children is a sketchy organization that is promoting an issue that’s in the past and that will either a. Not solve anything, or b. encourage military violence. Even more so there has been further criticism of “self-centered American kids” deciding to take a stand only today, being motivated by an “MTV-esque” viral video. NOW despite my hesitation in hearing about how IC allocated their money as well as what some people believe are the initiatives behind the cause I always go back to the same thought: that no matter the issue at hand the fact that people, starting with young, have decided to group together and stand up for something, is pretty amazing. So what if that takes a well edited video and that yesterday they weren’t fighting world problems? Creating interest in young people surrounding problems that aren’t minuscule everyday firstworldproblems is a HUGE thing and will carry into the future. Yes people need to educate themselves on the issue and yes this is just the beginning. But it IS a beginning. What I have a problem with is people who want to sit back, criticize and wait for a solution to be thought up by someone else. No matter how bleak someone’s attempts are at making a difference, at least they are ATTEMPTS. We should not live in a world where issues and concerns are controlled by borders, and that is the underlying message of this movement and kids across the world should have the same rights and freedoms as we do. This could affect the world we live so positively and drastically that demoralizing those involved is wrong. State your opinion, make it constructive not narrow minded.
